VPSN Debate on Project Civil City

Project Civil City Public Debate and Dialogue - Tuesday May 1 @ 7:00pm

The Vancouver Public Space Network, in collaboration with the Vancouver Public Library, presented a discussion and debate on Project Civil City (PCC).  The event took place Tuesday, May 1 at 7:00pm in the Alice McKay room at VPL Central (350 West Georgia Street) and featured five speakers presenting a range of views on the Civil City initiative.  The evening's discussion was moderated by Peter McKnight of the Vancouver Sun, and saw presentations by:

• Irwin Oostindie, Downtown Eastside Community Arts Network
• Dave Park, Vancouver Board of Trade
• Micheal Vonn, BC Civil Liberties Association
• Professor Steve Herbert, University of Washington
• Sheryl Williamson-Harms, West End Citizens' Action Network
